Cabify is one of the largest ride-hailing apps in Latin America. With +30 million monthly trips and presence in 9 countries, it operates in one of the most competitive markets in the world. But despite its scale, the Revenue team always wondered the same thing: how to better monetize the moments when users are most engaged?
The answer came with ADMOAI. In 10 days, they integrated the SDK, configured their first placements and started serving contextual ads with destination targeting. The results surprised even the most optimistic team member.
The challenge: how to monetize without hurting the experience
The Cabify team had already tried several ad servers before. The conclusion was the same every time: generic networks don't understand the mobility context. They showed irrelevant ads during the trip, or worse, served them at moments when the user needed to focus on the app (requesting the ride, waiting for the car).
They needed a system that understood the user's full journey: when they're waiting, when they're on the way, when they're near their destination. And they needed to segment by destination, not just current location.
The solution: destination targeting as a growth vector
ADMOAI was designed from Day 1 with mobility apps in mind. Our Decision Engine understands exactly which phase of the journey the user is in and serves creatives optimized for that moment. For Cabify, that meant three concrete things:
- Destination targeting: if a user is heading to Polanco, we can show them promos for restaurants in Polanco.
- Custom Journey Ads: contextual ads that appear on the highest-attention screens.
- Real-time reporting: the team can pause/optimize campaigns without waiting until month-end.
We went from a generic network to a premium channel with destination targeting. ADMOAI didn't sell us an integration: they sold us revenue. — Camila Reyes, Head of Revenue · Cabify
The results: +340% eCPM in 30 days
After the first month operating with ADMOAI, the KPIs spoke for themselves. eCPM multiplied 4.4x over the previous benchmark, impressions quadrupled and CTR beat the industry average by 2.3x.
Today Cabify monetizes trips that were previously lost inventory. And most importantly: the app's NPS didn't drop. For the Product team, that's what validated the Mobility Media model.
